Shane

Shane is my strength, and where I have weaknesses he has strengths. Many times Shane is the source of my courage and hope. I could not have found someone who complements my life more than Shane. I was initially attracted to Shane because of his positive outlook on life and gentle demeanor. I also liked his bright blue eyes and amazingly long eye lashes! He strives to have a selfless love and to keep our marriage as happy and fun as possible. I would describe Shane as spirited, loving, spiritual, and analytical. Shane has a deep love for church and has a great knowledge of the scriptures.
He is the second of four boys and still enjoys a close relationship with his parents and siblings. He has always been involved in athletics and is very healthy. He enjoys golfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, college football, camping, riding his go-kart, boating, participating in family activities, and experiencing new adventures. He is especially excited to teach his boys in these areas. He is very supportive of his children as they start school and hasn't missed one of my studio piano recitals!
He values family, religion, work, and interpersonal relationships. When Shane was 19 years old he served a 2 year service mission in Caracas, Venezuela. Since that time Shane has had a fondness in his heart for those who are less fortunate. He is constantly expressing his thankfulness for all of our many blessings. Shane is very open minded and objective in dealing with what is presented to him.Shane received his Bachelor Degree in both Finance and Accounting and has always had a talent with numbers. Currently he an Internal Auditor and CPA for Idaho Power. We are blessed to live near Shane's family and we see them often. They are very supportive of adoption and excited to welcome another new family member. I feel so blessed to have married a man so willing to love me and our children so deeply.

Amy

Amy has already mentioned that she didn't say yes to the first time I asked her out. She made things difficult for me. Thanks to her I have a great life lesson to tell about being persistent and never giving up. Some things are worth fighting for! I found on our first date that Amy was nothing but fun to be around. She is very engaging, with a magnetic personality and is never lacking for energy. I find talking to Amy is a pleasure because of her great sense of humor, upbeat and enthusiastic personality. She has an innate ability to connect with people and quickly develops an understanding and compassion for others. I am attracted to her positive outlook on life, the fun way that she teases, and her contagious smile. Amy is the second of five children. She comes from a family that is very close to one another and freely talks and shares with each other. They have a gift of being able to connect through humor and enjoy many inside jokes. While with her family, there is never a dull moment. They also enjoy the gift of music and are all very musically talented. They sing together regularly. Not only does she maintain close association with her parents and siblings, but also with her vast extended family; regularly getting together for dinners, cultural events, and family reunion vacations.
I am grateful to have Amy as a wife because she enriches my life with the way she leads her own. She sets a consistent example and is a motivating force for me to be all I can be. She has a great desire for daily self improvement and is a very spiritual person. She is in tune with the needs of our family and is dedicated to teaching our own children as well as others. She serves with the primary children at our church and gets great satisfaction as she teaches and watches them grow. Amy has many diversified interests and hobbies. She is an avid reader and a gifted pianist. She expects nothing but the best from herself and continues to study the piano. She has an amazing work ethic and cherishes the value and management of time. She is extremely efficient and a great organizer for our family. I've always been amazed at her ability to accomplish so much in so little time. She keeps our home very clean and provides a home environment that is very conducive to the Spirit.Amy received her Bachelor Degree in Communication with a minor in Music. She has always had a talent to connect with people and has been greatly blessed with the gift of words. She enjoys her time spent with her family and friends. She spends her days home with our two children while teaching private piano lessons part time. Amy has much to give to your precious child and we both promise to give him/her a happy, safe, and rich home environment. We look forward to raising a child that will bring you, as well as us, great pride and joy.

Our Family

Carson, our son most like his father, was the first born of our twins. He is the eldest by 4 minutes. He is energetic, very bright, lively, determined, thoughtful, and friendly boy. Carson has a great sense of right and wrong and has a desire to please others. Carson loves cars and trucks and can easily recognize and name most of the makes and models of the cars he sees. He loves to ride his bike and tells me everyday as he rides down the sidewalk that he's headed off to work! Carson loves to tease and lights up any room he enters. He has an ability to connect with people and remembers the little details of those he meets. He asks regularly for a new baby and will be a wonderful big brother.Cade, our son most like his mother, is a passionate, gentle, free-spirited, pensive, energetic child. Cade has a special love for animals and children and enjoys helping his mom in the kitchen. He loves to play games and is a lover of trains. His imagination is lively. He can quickly bring those around him into his world of make-believe! He does very well in his preschool class and is eager to learn. He tries to make friends with everyone and can sense those who need his friendship. Cade is a leader and would cherish the opportunity to love and help take care of a younger sibling. As a family we enjoy being outside taking nature walks, riding our bikes, hiking, swimming, going to the zoo and parks. We also enjoy playing games, spending time having picnics and backyard movie nights, having family dinner and attending church together. We spend a lot of time getting together with extended family. A baby entering into our family will be part of a close and connected extended family, including two sets of grandparents and even three great-grandparents! We are very close to our siblings, and our children enjoy spending lots of time with their cousins as well. Each child holds a special place in the hearts of their extended family members, and feels valued and supported by them. As parents we feel one of our main roles is to provide our children with ample opportunities for their growth and development. Education is extremely important to us. We want our children to be able to find an area of study that interests them and then have the resources to pursue it.Along with being well educated, we want our children to be well-rounded and have a desire to for them to be involved in various activities. We know that by exposing them to many things we will give them the chance to discover for themselves the areas that will bring them the most joy and success in life. We value their individuality and uniqueness, and find great joy in watching them develop their talents and abilities.Shane and I are very religious people, and are raising our children in a home where love and respect for God is part of our daily lives. We pray together as a family daily. We attend church every Sunday and make sure to set the day aside to learn about God and Jesus Christ. It is a great day to spend all of our time together as a family. We teach our boys that they need to act toward, and treat others, the way the Lord would desire. We know the Lord is blessing us as we move forward in this adoption process.

Our Home

We thoroughly enjoy where we live. Our city is beautiful and is located close to both the mountains and lakes. In fact, Forbes just rated Boise #2 in the nation for best cities for raising a family.  We couldn't agree more!  We are fortunate to be a part of a close-knit neighborhood. Our home is located in a quiet culdesac with many families with children that surround us. We are in a great school district and our elementary and middle schools are within walking distance. We have a spacious backyard that is fully fenced. We have easy access to great walking and hiking paths, the foothills, Bogus Basin, our community swimming pool, parks, Lucky Peak, the library and the zoo. We take wonderful care of our home. It is well maintained and very clean.
